We attended the 2016 Camden Mela
As part of our community engagement Healthwatch Camden has stalls at local events in Camden. We’re particularly keen to engage with hard to reach groups, such as our BME community. To do that, this July we attended the Camden Mela which is organised by Kings Cross and Brunswick Neighbourhood Association.
Local planning of health and social care services should include people from all communities and ages, but people in our BME community sometimes feel excluded. That’s why we collect views via our annual ‘Your Voice Counts’ survey, where people got the chance to tell us what their priorities are in health and social care provision.
At our stall, Shelly Khan our Community Engagement Manager listened to people’s views, handed out information on Healthwatch Camden’s role in the community and let people know what we’re up to by handing our new Healthwatch Camden Magazine. If you haven’t had a chance to see it yet, please find it here.
We really want to know what everyone in our diverse community thinks about health and social care services in Camden.
