Volunteers are our lifeblood
Every voice counts when it comes to the provision of our health and social care services. To this end we’ve recruited a team of volunteers from UCL to help us get local people’s views at events and on projects over the coming months.
This month we started inductions with the volunteers. They’ve chosen which projects they’re working on which include the referrals project, Food Poverty and many more.
By volunteering with us you can give something back to the community and develop new skills. We recruit volunteers on a project-by-project basis.
We offer volunteering opportunities in our office. Whether or not roles exist depends on the projects we’re currently working on. For example, we always need volunteers to help edit and update our Start Here… online guide.
We also need volunteers to help with research and insight.
We often have stalls at events around the Camden borough. Usually we need volunteers in the summer months to help out at stalls, but it is also throughout the year.
Volunteers get to talk to people in our community, give them advice on how to access health and social care services, help point them in the right direction if they are looking for a service and also help them to find out their rights.
We also work with experts in health and social care. People can lend their expertise to help us to raise awareness of our work and also the health and social care services available in our borough.
