Changing Faces celebrates 25 years & Face Equality Day - Friday 26th May 2017
This year marks 25 years since James Partridge started Changing Faces. On Friday 26th May 2017, there will be news reports, activities nationwide, and ways for everyone to get involved to show their support on Face Equality Day.
For a charity that began on the kitchen table of his farmhouse in the Channel Islands, we have come a long way. With more than thirty staff in three centres across the UK, and having helped tens of thousands of people find a way to live the life they want, we have a great deal to celebrate in 2017.
The main focus on our activity this year will be the first Face Equality Day which takes place on Friday 26 May 2017, our actual birthday. We’ll have activities taking place around the UK to raise awareness of our work and of the Face Equality campaign, and we’ll be asking our supporters to get involved. Follow the event on Facebook for updates.
We’ll also be publishing groundbreaking new research that day. Based on our current survey, it will provide a snapshot of life in the UK for people who live with a disfigurement. You can help us by taking the survey before the end of February.
If you’d like to be the first to hear about our activities for Face Equality Day and our twenty-fifth anniversary, please sign up to Viewpoint, our monthly supporter newsletter. If you’d like to offer your help in some way, please call us on 020 7391 9283 or email email@example.com.
