Focus Group opportunity: Lancaster University and Anthony Nolan
Exploring Potential Stem Cell Donors’ Perspectives Surrounding the Use of their Donations
Lancaster University and the charity Anthony Nolan are working together to explore the views of members of the public towards the use of donated cells.
We wish to understand how members of the public feel about how donations facilitated by Anthony Nolan might be used in the future, for whom and for what purposes, and whether these preferences alter depending on the type of cells donated.
We wish to involve members of the public with a range of demographics and different backgrounds e.g. gender, age, and ethnicity.
We are holding focus groups in August in London. You do not need to have scientific, medical, or healthcare knowledge or experience to participate in the focus group discussion.
Reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed through Anthony Nolan. You will also receive a small gift voucher to thank you for your participation in the focus groups.
Please contact Eva.Zoubek@anthonynolan.org to express your interest in finding out more about participating in an upcoming focus group.
Your involvement in the focus groups will inform the future lifesaving work of Anthony Nolan. This study has been reviewed and approved by the Faculty of Health and Medicine Research Ethics Committee at Lancaster University.
