Partnership for Young London

Partnership for Young London is recruiting 10 young people, aged 14 – 24 with a range of experiences and backgrounds, to form our Youth Board. This is to ensure that young peoples’ voices shape and influence our work, including the regional priorities for the Vision for Young Londoners, by assessing key issues for young people in the Capital and developing a set of recommendations for future development of the organisation.

Applications to join the Youth Board are now being accepted. Please click the following links for the application forms: Role Description and Person Specification and Equality and Diversity Monitoring Form – YB. The closing date for applications is Sunday 30 September. Please email submissions to: naomi.emmanuel@cityoflondon.gov.uk. Here is a link to our youth engagement and youth leadership webpage which provides more information about our upcoming events and the different pathways for youth involvement.

We’re looking for groups of young people that we can visit, or invite to our offices, for a focus group on the cost of living and social security. Minimum an hour, maximum two, we want to gather the views of young Londoners on how the cost of living is impacting on their lives, and what a social security system designed by them would look like. Participants will be provided with a £10 voucher, and travel expenses. We are looking to run as many as possible across September and October, so if you know a group of young people who might be interested please contact matthew.walsham@cityoflondon.gov.uk to know more.
